Young Concert Artist New York Preisträgerkonzert

Mit noch nicht ganz 25 Jahren gewann Joseph Parrish im November 2022 die Finalrunde des Wettbewerbs Young Concert Artists in New York. Obwohl er noch studiert, hat er bereits unter der Leitung von Kent Nagano in Giacomo Puccinis Oper „Gianni Schicchi” gesungen. Für seinen Liederabend mit dem Pianisten Francesco Barfoed spannt er auf Usedom den Bogen von Franz Schuberts „Allmacht” bis zu einem selbst komponierten Gotteslob: „Groß ist deine Treue”. Deutschlanddebüt einer Doppelbegabung.

In November 2022, at the age of just under 25, Joseph Parrish won the final round of the Young Concert Artists competition in New York. Although still a student, he has already sung in Giacomo Puccini's opera Gianni Schicchi under the direction of Kent Nagano. For his recital on Usedom with the pianist Francesco Barfoed, he spans the arc from Franz Schubert's "Allmacht" to a self-composed praise to God: "Groß ist dein Faith".
